Practice in real life. The class is great with motivated students, it will be a different outcome with real people who don't appreciate the complex situation.

The drill with the hostage taker in the Court House - Have that person in a separate room or location call in. Too much going on with all the activity in this room to add another component that should be reserved for a completely remote location.
