Seeing the practical setup of command post, staging, tactical, triage and transport. Seeing the whole incident being set up from start to finish and the issues that arise gave me a completely different perspective.. It was great to have the incident commander and PIO give a brief press conference as well.

Not having the EMS/Medical Branch at the initial "Tactical" post. This is the most appriate area. Transport Group Supervisor should be at the AEP with force protection who can coordinate and track patients leaving the scene to area hospitals.

Have separate rooms for the various functions of the exercise which eliminates face to face contact and forces radio discipline.
