The method of LE being sole IC in this type of incident vs unified command is completely wrong and should be taught as unified command.

Until LE gets with Nims terms like the gov mandated them to ten years ago this class method will not work and in my opinion a complete waste of time, doesn’t work, as demonstrated in the practical scenarios. Stop beating around bush and realize without the same communication terminology this class will fall short every time. ALERT instructors have told me in alert classes they need to adapt the nims terminology. This LE method of this class doesn’t work and are setting us up for failure!!.

Provide basic guideline for use of props and allow the participants in the room to coordinate efforts and communication. Too much instruction and divided attention without communication lines in scrnario.

Effective communication tactics and resource allocation amongst separate entities and mutual aid companies… knowing what resources can provide what functions.
