Some of the lecture portions were nice, particularly the Intel and Case Studies as they added to skillsets nicely. Practical portion is good and the capstone was helpful.

Some of the scenarios were a bit repetitive but at each evolution something was added to my knowledge base.

Could could be a little shorter perhaps a 20hr course and still get the objectives done. Need to be careful even with breaks to ensure audience is still a captive one. Also, the SIM is nice and was helpful but at times was a hinderancce so need to be careful about that.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Building on this at the 50k level for IC's. Something that ties this back to use of the other resources and teams that would be responding.

I beleive in sims but this sim operation took away from some of the learning due to complexity.

The practical application of the classroom content.

Some of the classroom material could have been a pre-read allowing more time to rotate throught the practicals in different roles. The role of transport (ambulance) seemed to be a filler spot unless you were assigned a command position or assigned to a RTF.

It would have been nice as a fire to watch how the LE run there side of the events.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

More practical application with my local agencies. It will be a challenge to diseminate this class information to the troops within my department. So, training on how best to bring this info to my agency and other agencies not represented at this class.

While I recognize it is hard to balance the roles of EMS and fire, as a command officer it would have been more beneficial if i coould have served in command roles a little more. I drove ambulances 3 times, but yet never made it to the command post or area command.
