The PIO exercises that directly affect my job. The instructors were very informative, engaging and patient.

The Virtual simulators didn't apply to my job. I only say this because I have to select something, but I feel everything was very necessary. As PIO, I spent my time gathering intel to prepare for briefings.

I was very pleased with this course. The instructors worked well together and were very knowledgeable. Great Delivery and content.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

The PIO training has been beneficial. Nothing simulates the real thing, but these courses do as good a job as you can in a classroom.

As a non-sworn employee, gaining greater insight into the ICS process and structure was extremely valuable for both context and information gathering that will help me do my job as a PIO.

While I appreciated that there was a designated role for PIO, I felt at times like there wasn't much for me to do until it came time to hold the news conference.

I recognize this course is more geared for first responders, but perhaps consider throwing a few additional hurdles at the PIO team that they can work through ahead of the news conference. (misinformation online, multiple agencies trying to push out info, etc).

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would definitely be interested in taking one of FEMA's PIO specific training courses.
