AS A FIRE DISPATCHER, THE COURSE DIDNT OFFER MUCH KNOWLEDGE AS IT PERTAINS TO FIRE DIS[PATCH. WISH THERE WAS A FIRE RELATED TRAINING COURSE LIKE THIS.

THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE FIRE-RELATED INCIDENTS. AS A DISPATCHER, ONCE WE DISPATCHED THE INITIAL RESPONSE, THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE TO DO EXCEPT WAIT FOR A REQUEST FOR ADDL EQUIPMENT. PERHAPS THERE COULD BE SCENARIOS WHICH CALLED FOR A HUGE RESPONSE FROM FIRE, AS WELL AS POLICE.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I AM INTERESTED IN ANY COURSE THAT WILL ENHANCE A DISPATCHERS ABILITY TO ADAPT AND HANDLE ANY TYPE OF INCIDENT.

The knowledge of the instructors was fantastic. I am a learn-by-doing student so the practical exercises were very valuable to me. I did find the de-briefing sessions very informative and helpful.

I spoke to one of the insturctors at a break about classes to take after this one. Since most other classes are geared towards Law Enforcement, I would like to see some other classes dedicated to Fire/EMS (maybe gear it towards RTF).

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I want to continue my training- I want to take the Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings course next.

The simulations were the key to this course. Aside from actually conducting operations in real life these simulations are invaluable. Some of the best training I have experienced.
