Which part(s) of the course was MOST valuable to you. Please explain why.

The part that was most valuable was the second to last incident where one of the instructors simulated a 911 call of a hostage/barricaded shooter. For dispatch, this was very helpful to most realistically simulate a real situation.

As I am in dispatch, some of the more complicated and complex police issues were not as valuable but were still helpful in my opinion.

I would really like to get hostage negotiator training after this course.

Breaking up the groups into different areas for a more realistic atmosphere of not being able to see and hear whats going on around you.

The realistic setup of using radios for each person to communicate with a command or dispatch center. helped improve use of communication.

Command level or upper level parts of training did not apply to my position so much but did for others.

Maybe keep working with the EQ on your instructor speaker system to reduce echo and help voices come through clearly. It appeared that you cut back the low and mids in an attempt to do this already.

More realism incorporated into hands on type trainings, radios used through dispatch or role players and EMS involved as well.
