My dept and other city units need to increases our overall training to encompass mass cass/active shooter/hostile environment type calls.

A lot of the command instruction would most likely be handled by our department heads, but feel knowing the info, regardless of rank, is still a must!.

I would like more time to work through the simulations especially in areas of command.

The simulations allowed me and my peers to establish things we need to work on in the professional setting to interact effectively in the event of a complex, multi-jurisdictional event.

I thought overall the course was well rounded, but being an EMS provider, some of the law enforcement instruction felt less relevant to me.

I thought the class was excellent and the instructors were great, would highly recommend other people in my field to take this course.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I'd like to take classes dealing with other potential mass casualty events aside from mass shootings, and to increase my knowledge base on recognition of the parts that other agencies may deal with.

The hands-on training with dispatch because my jurisdiction has a relatively low call volume compared to other jurisdictions and there is not a lot of training available to dispatchers in my area.

I can't say that any portion was least valuable. I think that the lectures and training were all completely valuable and appropriate.

Honestly for dispatch, foot pedals would make it easier to keep hands on the keyboard instead of pressing the radio or headset controls to communicate.
