The practical exercises were great. Being able to be placed in different roles was a amazing experience. Working patch to patch with local departments was well worth the three days of training.

I enjoyed the hands on portations of the class. I gain a lot for being able to be in charge of different areas.

The simulator, difficult using the computer system unless previous video game expierence.

Update simulator/ graphics. Overall a great course and I feel more comfortable as a first responder to an active shooter.

AS DISPATCH, BEING ABLE TO SEE THE SCALE OF RESOURCES NEEDED IN A COMPLEX ATTACK WAS VERY INTERESTING. ALSO BEING ABLE TO WALK AROUND AND SCRIBE AND OBSERVE THE DIFFERET AREAS WAS VERY INTERESTING.

AN EYE OPENING MOMENT WAS ANSWERING THE DISPATCH PHONE AND SPEAKING WITH THE HOSTAGE TAKER. THIS OPENED THE CONVERSTATION ABOUT HAVING DISPATCHER TRAINED WITH NEGOTIATIONS.

The mixing of multiple types of first responders and how effective we can be if we work together and put egos aside.

The fact that we were doing everything through a computer program. It helped a lot but in real life, people are going to be screaming and panicking. So raido comms will be much harder to understand.

For what the class offered, it was great. The computer program was the most realistically way to apply this training given the resources we had.
