The debrief with students talking ONLY because the speakers were not loud enough for those of us with years of sirens and decreased hearing.

Make sure the students speak effectively into the microphone. Many were soft spoken.

The practical exercises. The more simulated scenarios, the better the participants grasp the concepts.

I understand the Area Command concept. But most people in the class would likely never be involved in Area Command. So it can seem like a far away concept to grasp.

Maybe progress the scenarios and make them even harder on the last day. Force the students to think and work through very bad situations as long as the scenarios are still reasonably likely to happen.

More training that is similar that would involve command and management of serious incidents.
