The hands on scenarios were most valuable. These taught me how to apply my skills in these types of situations.

One of the beginning excercises where we had to triage patients. My fire background does not give much EMS experience so this was something I was not able to participate in as much as I would have liked.

The instructors were wonderful and very knowledgeable. They were very helpful and experts in their fields and with this training. They were able to answer all questions that were brought forward and created a great environment for everyone to work collaboratively.

Learning more medial training so that I can better help others.

The practical exercises really put everything together. They were well prepared exercises that added real value, allowing us to use what we learned and see the big picture.

The break out discussions and case studies. They did not really add much value to the training.

I'd say using it for internal training. Identifying staging areas in the township in case something like this would happen. Conducting internal tabletop exercises for real world scenarios in my township.

Recently completed an ALEERT AAIR train the trainer course. Having the hands on experience from that along with the managment/command training from this course makes me feel much more prepared for these types of events.
