Once I got used to the SIM, it became valuable. Most valuable was getting the chance to be in command positions (not in the SIM) and coordinate resources. Most training usually focuses on the tactics, it was nice to have to opportunity to focus on the big picture.

There was a lot of useful information when it came to explaining the statistics surrounding active shooters and CCA. The importance of going into a rescue role after the threat has been neutralized was also valuable.
