This brochure covers SSAVEIM Foundations™, a free, self-paced online course of under an hour from NCIER®, the National Center for Integrated Emergency Response, the services division of C3 Pathways, Inc. Lockdown is one step, not a plan. Foundations walks the whole timeline of an active shooter attack at a school, from the attack itself through getting every student back to their family, and it follows the Standard Response Protocol and the Standard Reunification Method from the “I Love U Guys” Foundation. It is built for everyone who works in a school, from teachers and administrators to office staff and bus drivers, and for the law enforcement, fire, EMS, and emergency management agencies who would respond. Thirteen modules, most of them four minutes, give everyone the same picture before they ever need it.

SSAVEIM Foundations™ is a free, self-paced online course of under an hour from NCIER® (National Center for Integrated Emergency Response), the services division of C3 Pathways, Inc. Thirteen modules, most of them four minutes, walk through how an active shooter or violent attack at a school unfolds and how the response works, covering lockdown, the public safety response, and violent-event reunification.
Everyone who would be there on the day. On the school side that is teachers, office and front desk staff, principals and administrators, safety directors, training officers, bus drivers, support staff, school resource officers, and district leadership. On the response side it is law enforcement, fire and EMS, 911 dispatchers, public information officers, and emergency managers. It is free and open to all of them.
Under an hour in total, and nothing at all. It is 13 modules, most of them four minutes, taken on demand, so staff can finish between classes and responders between calls. You can stop after any module and pick up where you left off, with no substitutes, no backfill, and no overtime.
Foundations is free awareness that gets everyone to the same understanding. SSAVEIM Train-the-Trainer™ is the two-day in-person course where school staff and responders practice lockdown and reunification together on one shared plan, and your own people are certified to keep teaching it. Foundations is completed beforehand, so day one is the class itself, scenarios included, and day two is teaching it.
Register with your work email and take the short Pre-Test, then work through the modules and their Post-Tests. Finish all 13 modules and score an 80% average or better across their Post-Tests, and your certificate for 1 hour of credit is emailed to you automatically.
