Personal Profile

Mark S. Rhame retired as Division Chief of Operations for the Orange County Fire Rescue Department (FL), the fourth largest fire rescue department in the State of Florida. Mark has a Masters degree in Public Administration with over 32 years of fire rescue experience, including ten years in a managerial role. The last 30 years he worked with and supervised over one thousand employees, forty-one fire stations and an overall budget of one hundred and sixty million dollars (FY 09/10). Mark was instrumental in the development and implementation of enhanced firefighter identification program. He was a committee member for the takeover of EMS transport from the private provider to the current fire rescue based emergency and non-emergency EMS transport system currently in use in Orange County, FL. Mark served as president of Orange County Professional Firefighters from 1994-2001 and Secretary/Treasurer from 1990-1994.
