Kevin Burd is a retired Law Enforcement Officer with 21 years of experience in Major Crimes Investigations, SWAT, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, School Safety, and Active Threat/Crisis Response training. His current focal point is to provide schools, educators, civilians, businesses, houses of worship and first responders training to help prevent, prepare, respond and recover from acts of active violence through nationally recognized programs and in collaboration with subject-matter experts who have either personally responded to or been directly involved in some of this nation's most tragic mass casualty incidents or school shootings. Kevin is a Lead Instructor for C3 Pathways, serving as Training Director for the "I Love U Guys" Foundation, and owner of Priority of Life Training and Consulting, LLC. He holds NJ PTC certifications as a County Investigator and Corrections Officer, is a Certified Public Manager, and holds NCBRT instructor credentials in active shooter emergency response and active threat integrated response.

He served as the County Counter Terrorism Coordinator, the Safe Campus Initiative Coordinator, and the Primary Emergency Support Function 13 representative. As Homeland Security Grant Project Manager, he researched, procured and managed millions of dollars of federal and state funding.
