Personal Profile

Kenneth "Ken" Lamb has over 22 years of service with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, where he started as a Police Recruit and is currently the Patrol Watch Lieutenant in District 6. He helps provide and develop high liability training and Active Shooter training for JSO, various community organizations, and regional law enforcement partners. He served as an operator on the JSO SWAT team for 10 years, executing numerous high-risk search warrants and barricaded suspect operations. He has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration, both from the University of North Florida. He spent 4 years in the Marine Corps leading a 7-10 man squad during security missions worldwide while providing leadership, counseling, and mentorship. He has served as the NIMS Incident Command System Planning Section Chief and Operations Section Chief for both the State of Florida and the City of Jacksonville for numerous incidents and events.

Kenneth leads, guides and directs two patrol evening squads of nine officers each responsible for protecting lives, preventing the destruction of property, suppressing criminal activity, and maintaining peace and order. Previously served as Sergeant in the Professional Oversight Unit (2019-2021), leading a team of 6 members focused on oversight of high-liability functions, policy development and implementation, and facilitation of training to address deficiencies in high-liability functions. Prior to that, served as Sergeant in the Emergency Preparedness Unit (2016-2019), serving as the NIMS Incident Command System Planning Section Chief during numerous incidents/events, providing Active Shooter training for community organizations and regional law enforcement partners, and managing and supervising logistical officers.
