As a Dispatcher, we typically only hear the words and phrases utilized by our public safety counter parts. Being able to actually see what certain roles are doing, and being able to fill in the gaps in my role.

This specific course is designated towards LE/FD/EMS, its hard to say how to integrate Dispatchers in this course. Just having us here is more than we could ask for.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Hosting/Training our own ASIM + Teaching our coworkers the program so we’re on the same page as our local Public Safety counterparts.

The only suggestion I have, is having dispatchers sit facing each other vs in a straight line. also provide them with a white board so they can keep up with information given to them.

Continuning refreshers that piggy back off this. I really enjoyed this training. first time in a long time I was fully engaged and not watching the clock.
