The long waiting period. I've trained for over 20 years as an active shooter instructor to stop the killing and rescue training. Now as the Director of Security for a School District, this course helped me to understand even better than before, once the killing is topped, we have to slow down and get the job done right to make sure all other students and staff are reunified and accounted for.
