The most valuable part for me was playing PIO because I am the appointed PIO for my department and don't often get put in stressful positions such as the ones in this class. After taking this class and playing that role several times, I feel prepared to navigate a real situation.

I really don't believe there is a least valuable part because all of it together is what created a real life scenario that I was able to learn from.

The only issue we had was experiencing interference on the radios but I am not sure if this is a fixable issue due to the amount that we had in one space.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

After completing this training I have come to understand that my fire department needs to train alongside our local law enforcement and EMS to establish a protocol for these kinds of incidents and practice it.

The emphasis of the big picture understanding of these operations. As a PIO, understanding the big picture helps with knowing the information to release and not release.

More PIO involvement from the beginning. It's good for PIOs to see what all goes into incident management to give us a better understanding. Would like to see more for a PIO. Press briefings for every scenario.

As a PIO the experience in handling multiple critical incidents and setting up a press conference was very valuable.

I do believe that after the first few scenarios I felt confortable with the press conference that I could've done something else.

This is seriously the best active shooter training I've ever had. The scenarios through the gaming system can only improve and make this training better.
