The stations where I was assigned to command and tactical were the ones I'm most likely to encounter on patrol. I found it very beneficial to experience those roles and get exposure to them in a chaotic but safe environment. This experience will help me as a supervisor in future critical incidents.

The hands on learning with tactical, command and staging. In most scenarios officers just get the officer job done and evaluate tactics. This training allowed the incident to play out and to see how important the organization and allocation of resources is.
