Rotating leadership positions (Tactical, Incident Commander) and getting to see the big picture instead of being down in the weeds. Learning what to anticipate resources wise and requesting them ahead of time and not scrabbling to find them when needed.

Which part(s) of the course was LEAST valuable to you? Please explain why.

Participating part as a contact team. My department conducts training that heavily plays into engage the threat and making sure that suspect or suspects are down. There isn't really a focus on what happens next after the threat is down.

ICS300 and ICS400 didn't really make sense or feel important from a law enforcement aspect. After taking ASIM, I can put together how the concepts ICS-300 and ICS-400 can be applied now.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

More training like this where we can apply theory into action.

Learning from different instructors at each station. Tactical, Command, etc.

The computer based triaging. Smaller scale triaging with dummies in different scenarios would be more valuable.

I think its an excellent course. Just my personal opinion on the computer based training. Logistically it makes more sense than dummies and still achieves the same goal.

The first initial response (Contact teams) of the operations, as a patrol officer I would be one of the first on scene to an incident.

The Area Command, once a situation got to this stage I would not be involved with these decisions.
