I have taught and been the lead for many of the original ASIM courses although it has been a while. These modules were a nice refresher for me, and each segment. highlights an important aspect of the active attacker/shooter response mechanism.

This course has always been important. It's full breadth is much more easily achieved in areas with larger populations of responders. As populations and responder numbers drop, responders must get more creative in deploying resources. The course had several comments that reflect this necessity without actually saying it.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I'm mostly retired. I provide volunteer services to churches or other organizations that ask- providing them with emergency plans and educating their people on proper active attacker/shooter response. With that, it is important for me to keep abreast of current response developments in this area. I hope to do this by keeping abreast of Texas State Universities ALERRT programs.

Perhaps an add-on module of an edited classroom rep of ASIM in action? Close out the overview treatment with a live example of some clips of a class utilizing the Checklist system?.

I found the course to be very valuable as a whole. Working with the Sheriff's Office for many years prior to this course, this has to be the best one I have taken thus far.
