A parte mais valiosa do curso foi a definição clara das 3 Prioridades do Gerenciamento de Incidentes (1. Parar a Ameaça, 2. Resgate, 3. Limpeza do Local) combinada com o estabelecimento imediato do papel do Primeiro Elemento no Comando (Initial Incident Commander).
