Review of the ASIM checklist and command responsibilities. This checklist is a great starting point and valuable in saving time.

Which part(s) of the course was LEAST valuable to you? Please explain why.

I didn't find any section Least valuable. I felt the entire program is a good resource for public safety.

Please provide any other comments or suggestions you have for improving this course.

Just like the checklist for ASIM, creating an approved flowchart for transport group supervisor may also streamline their response. The typical triage protocols are varying so much that it may be beneficial to create a checklist including hospitals and hospital bed counts, an ambulance patient count (1-3 per unit), and a helo section to include locations transported to.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Implementation with local resources is always the most valuable.

It seemed to be from an area of the US where Fire plays a smaller role. In my jurisdiction Fire is the major ICS player and will be the only ICS player in the scene. Law is smaller and city specific, EMS works for fire and has minimal supervision role.

Please provide any other comments or suggestions you have for improving this course.

I suppose it is just a small change but it could be noted that in some areas, FD will be the leading agency for incident management.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Which part(s) of the course was MOST valuable to you. Please explain why.

During the pretest I was questioning some of my answers but this course helped solidify my answers and the why. This course reminded me of key takeaways from previous trainings I've been too. I think I just need to do the movements and act it out to retain it better.

Which part(s) of the course was LEAST valuable to you? Please explain why.

The process makes sense but I have to visually see it to retain it better. What it looks like when the 5th man shows up and takes command and from where at. Then when the supervisor arrives. Where is the command take over taking place.

Please provide any other comments or suggestions you have for improving this course.

I would like to see more visual aids of the process taking place and from where at in relation to a school shooting, office building shooting, mall shooting, ect. I believe that would help the visual learners more but it definitely would make it a longer training. But for the material that was given in such a short amount of time, it was great. Probably should be a yearly training everyone takes as a refresher.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Acting out the training or seeing it done would be most important and how it is applied to different calls for service with different locations. Also, making sure this terminology is understood by line level patrol officers so they know what is going on.
