I found the staging officer has different roles.

The exercises made it more confusing on how this is run. I did not get to participate much in the exercises and there wasn't much coordination and even though I was assigned a chip/role it was given to someone else.

Please provide any other comments or suggestions you have for improving this course.

The book should be given out prior to this course. I have had RTF training but have never done this type of training. The powerpoint presentation was not enough to grasp the concept. This should be over 8 hours or maybe 2 separated days to cover more information.

We really should have had the books and reading materials to study before the class. With such a short time period having that ahead of time would have increased the learning greatly.

Lecture due to the information that was discussed. It really walked the outline out for us students.

The scenarios were not very helpful to EMS only providers. We were left without chips, not understand what our exact duties were.

Please provide any other comments or suggestions you have for improving this course.

Either more engagement opportunities for EMS only personnel, or a clear message upfront what our roles will be and that we will waiting around for most of the scenarios (which makes sense based on ems duties, but the issue was we were forgotten about and given little information).

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

A more advanced course on ems response and thought process through an active shooter incident would be great, I’ll be on the lookout for something like that or a real-time practice scenario. Thanks!.
