The practical portion enhanced my understanding of real life logistical and communication issues that arise while responding to these events.

The lecture material took too long to cover, and there should have been fewer scenarios. After approximately 9-10 scenarios, myself and fellow participants were fatigued and stopped learning as much from each scenario that seemed too similar to the last. The content overall was appropriate, but could be condensed to avoid overwhelming and tiring participants out.

Maps, both in book and on the boards, should have better resolution. While we measured our improvement with time, our increased understanding of the computer system wasn't taken into account. The first morning introduction and discussion of web resources on the last day felt more like an infomercial than instructional information sharing.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Further multi-jurisdictional training within my region. A list of real-life events that have utilized your system and their outcomes would be a useful resource on your website.

The RTF joining of police and fire, was a practical application of real life scenarios.

The loud PIO announcements were pointless. not realistic or helpful. If you need to learn how to be a PIO, take a public speaking course.

Remove the PIO portion and most of the story telling time. we already cover enough ACTUAL real life scenarios.

The most valuable portion of the class was the triage/transport position during the scenarios. These positions directly relate to my job and helped give me better understanding of those roles.

The computer based simulation for the RTF's was not beneficial. Using real dummies or even the cardboard "patients" would have been more realistic and beneficial. The money spent on the gaming computers could have gone to more realistic hands on props.

The chairs are supper uncomfortable for bigger people and were distracting.

The course may need more IT support. There were a lot of bugs in the simulation. It might even be better with VR goggles that way you can be more interactive.
