Learning how the checklist should be implemented.

The simulation portion could be automated rather than trying to learn the system.

Please provide any other comments or suggestions you have for improving this course.

The simulation could be a simple video that is watched and officers call out what they see rather than manipulating a computer they are not familiar with and trying to use the radio.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

The course should be in residence to make sure that the class has a wider range of FD, LEO, and EM. Should be designed like the MGT314.

Understanding what LE and Fire are doing in a situation is helpful to my position.

The majority of the course was focused on LE and Fire leaving EM to sit around.

Please provide any other comments or suggestions you have for improving this course.

Please include more emergency management aspects in this course. The majority of the LE and Fire didn't know when to request EM or even what we did. Including more EM topics in this course would help them to understand what we do and when to request us. We do more than feed and water them.

The most valuable portion of the class was the triage/transport position during the scenarios. These positions directly relate to my job and helped give me better understanding of those roles.

The computer based simulation for the RTF's was not beneficial. Using real dummies or even the cardboard "patients" would have been more realistic and beneficial. The money spent on the gaming computers could have gone to more realistic hands on props.

The chairs are supper uncomfortable for bigger people and were distracting.

Live, full-scale MCI training. ICS 300 and 400.

Radios did not function super well, could be the building we are in. It was difficult to hear and communicate effectively sometimes.

Active Shooter training focusing more specifically on tactical command would garner more LEO students.
