This course should be more readily available to the different areas of expertise to incorporate more of the first responders and EM across the state if the State wants to adopt this for any/all active shooter events. Also needs to be available in not only Clark and Washoe counties but the others also.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

The hands on event the DHS rep was talking about in Tahoe...that would be a way to apply this new learning in real world.

THERE WAS SOME DISCUSSION ABOUT COMMUNICATING WITH THE SUSPECT WHEN THE ACTIVE SHOOTER BARRICADES. I WOULD SUGGEST SOME TOOLS FOR THE STUDENTS TO HAVE SUCH AS ASKING OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS, TONE OF VOICE, BUILDING RAPPORT ETC.
