Software developers should work to modernize/improve the first-person simulator component of this training. Work out the bugs/glitches and make things even more realistic.

The computer stations. The RTF/Contact practice was not needed as much as Command/Tactical/Staging coordination.

Being rotated through all the different command positions and interacting with the other participants in their different positions.

The actual simulation of contact or officer with an RTF on the computer- Because being sent to go after the suspect or accompany FF is the easiest part. The coordination positions were more valuable.

The class was excellent. There was a good mix of instruction and practical exercises.

Coordinating all resources available during an active shooter event, not just stopping the threat.
