As a PIO it was very valuable to assist at the command post and get a look into the information coming in. The press conference time expectations were a great comparison to real world expectations.

As a PIO usually working in the EOC, I found it most valuable to work with the forward incident command and the area command. I feel it helped me and those in the command position to realize the importance of facts and communication with the public.
