Personal Profile
William "Billy" Perry worked as an officer in various positions for Jacksonville Sheriff's Office for over 30 years. He has worked as a master diver, SWAT, bomb squad operations, patrol officer and much more. He has worn many hats in law enforcement which gives him a unique perspective. He was instrumental in helping the implementation of the Active Shooter Response tactic in Jacksonville, Florida. Billy was assigned for 2 years to the Department of Justice with the Police Corps. He graduated from the FBI's Hazardous Device School class B08-11. His extensive training in firearms, defense and small unit tactics have proven vital for the police force.

Billy provides Incident Management and Unified Command instruction with an emphasis on Law Enforcement, Tactical Situations, Improvised Explosive Devices and Active Shooter response. He is involved in classroom instruction, simulation hands-on training, train the trainer, and curriculum development.

Provides tactical and operational training to the entire force including CQB. Provides logistical support for the marine unit and dive team. Master diver performing evidence and body retrieval and hazardous device mitigation below the water for 10 years. Expertise in barricaded suspects and provided dignitary protection. Served as a SWAT operator and as a SWAT member for 4 years. Worked as a detective on the bomb squad for 8 years. Administered safety and crime prevention in schools as a School Resource officer. As a Corrections Officer, he oversaw those who have been arrested and awaiting trial. Maintained order and protected communities as a patrol officer.
