Personal Profile

Eric Schultz is a fire service executive with more than three decades of experience spanning fire suppression, EMS, hazardous materials response, emergency management, safety administration, and instruction. His career includes 26 years with Marion County Fire-Rescue in Florida - rising to District Captain with command of six career stations and serving as Fire Operations Section Chief during EOC activations - followed by overseas and federal contract work in Kuwait, The Bahamas, and with Booz Allen Hamilton supporting Army installation protection assessments. Most recently he served as Fire Chief for Kachemak Emergency Services in Homer, Alaska, where he directed all department operations, budget, policy, and personnel.

He holds a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health with an environmental management concentration and a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science (magna cum laude), along with Chief Fire Officer, Chief Training Officer, and Certified Safety Professional designations.

He is a contract instructor for the National Fire Academy, a peer reviewer for Jones & Bartlett Publishing and the Commission on Professional Credentialing, and an FAA-certified remote pilot.
