Christine Tonetta has served in the fire service for over 25 years, both in volunteer and career capacities. She has a passion for teaching and has presented at numerous conferences and fire departments throughout the country, in addition to instructing classes at the Cumberland County Fire Academy. With a unified response as her driving force, she also works with law enforcement and EMTs on how to assist firefighters in the cold and warm zones and with firefighters to assist law enforcement at hostile events.
Christine earned an Associate Degree in Fire Science Technology from Camden County College and her Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Fire Executive/Organizational Leadership and is enrolled in the NFA's Executive Fire Officer Program.

Christine began her career at the Millville Fire Department as a Volunteer and a member of the Millville Technical Rescue Team. Promoted in July 2007, she became a career firefighter/EMT, training instructor, member of the Cumberland County Technical Rescue Team, Public Education Coordinator, and Youth Firesetter Intervention Specialist. In June 2015, Christine was promoted to Fire Captain/EMT. In her position as Fire Captain, she has continued her work as a training and education Coordinator/Instructor and supports the daily operation as the B-Shift Engine Captain.
