Keep Your School

with our unique, hands-on violent event incident management training

Our School Safety and Violent Event Incident Management (SSAVEIM) course trains school personnel side-by-side with police, fire, and EMS to work faster as one team and save every life that can be saved.

GAIN EXPERIENCE PROTECTING YOUR STUDENTS FROM VIOLENT EVENTS

The goal is simple — decrease the time to neutralize the threat, get injured to a hospital, and reunite students with their families.

This course provides you with the experience and confidence to respond to a violent event, regardless of your daily responsibilities.

Time is your biggest enemy when it comes to saving lives. Every second wasted potentially leads to more children’s lives lost, more rounds fired, more lasting effects, and more chaos. Thankfully, there are three easy steps to prepare your school for this: plan, prepare, and practice.

We can help you get there.

of public schools reported they had a plan for procedures to be performed in the event of an incident. But many of these schools have never practiced the plan, had it reviewed by local authorities or consulted with local police, fire, and EMS.

SSAVEIM Train-the-Trainer is a comprehensive course serving two missions:

  1. Certify 9 multi-disciplinary Instructor Trainees who are then able to deliver and train others in the SSAVEIM course, and
  2. Provide the SSAVEIM 8-hour comprehensive course for 40 other participants.

SSAVEIM focuses on campus violent events and reunification after an event using curriculum from the “I Love U Guys” Foundation in conjunction with our unique tabletop training system, Counterstrike™. Five (5) functional exercises utilize Counterstrike™ to provide a bird’s eye view to the incident, generating a greater understanding of the process.

Instructor Trainees participate in the 2-day, 16-hour course.
40 others receive 8 hours of training on day two – mix of 20 public safety (law enforcement, fire, and EMS) and 20 school personnel

Participants are trained to secure the students, identify the threat, provide medical intervention, and reunify students with their loved ones.

This course is appropriate for all educational institutions and levels of school personnel, law enforcement, and fire/EMS, providing hands-on experience for entry level and executives alike.

Instructors utilize a no-fault, no embarrassment coaching style to conduct live training with up to 40 participants. The 9 Instructor Trainees (3 law enforcement, 3 fire/EMS, and 3 school personnel) are then able to train others after they’ve completed the SSAVEIM Program.

Over the course of 2 days, Instructor Trainees will learn instructional methodologies for teaching/coaching and conduct teach-backs to practice these new skills and start teaching classes immediately.  At the conclusion of the course, all course materials to conduct SSAVEIM training are left behind including:

  • The Full Curriculum
  • Hands-on Training Techniques
  • Presentation Materials
  • Access to the Student Portal
  • Forms, Tests, & Checklists
  • Printable Certificates
  • Two (2) Counterstrike™ tabletop training systems
