Active Shooter Incident Management

This course provides incident management skills for Active Shooter Events, while also certifying new instructors to continue to deliver this crucial hostile event training in your area.

STOP THE KILLING. STOP THE DYING®

ASIM Basic Train-the-Trainer is a performance level course serving two missions:

  1. Certify 10 Trainer Candidates who are then able to deliver and train others in the ASIM Basic course, and
  2. Provide the ASIM Basic 4-hour course for up to 115 other participants.
This course focuses on demonstrating the ASIM Checklist integrated response process to law enforcement, fire, and EMS responders utilizing the Counterstrike™ tabletop training system. Our instructors introduce the key concepts of integration and engage responders in three (3) functional exercises, allowing responders to actively practice their skills. This practical approach not only enhances the participant’s understanding but also significantly improves their ability to instruct and then apply this critical information in real-world situations.

ASIM Basic addresses:

  • The ASIM Checklist process
  • Staging
  • Tactical & Contact Teams
  • Casualty Collection Points
  • Triage & Rescue Task Forces (RTF)
  • Transport & Ambulance Exchange Points

By combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, ASIM Basic effectively prepares emergency responders to handle active shooter incidents with greater coordination and efficiency.
