An active shooter event impacts not only the survivors but the entire community. In today’s episode our panel discusses what happens after the shooter has been stopped, the last patient transported, and the survivors reunited. For a community to recover, ongoing needs must be addressed. Recognizing that this is going to happen and having a plan in place beforehand allows us to better manage the aftermath. This planning for recovery can then be applied to any type of disaster or event.
